Review and prOSPect of China's printed circuit board industry

The external cyclICal changes triggered structural changes in the industry. Only by seizing the opportunity and doing well in practice can enterprises embark on the road of sustainable development.
Why should we start looking back ten years ago? Because in 2008, the industry faced huge challenges. This is due to the impact of the global financial crisis. Especially in the second half of this year, the orders of many companies dropped precipitously, and there were many layoffs and panics. It can be said that in the past ten years, we have gone through such ups and downs. SIMilarly, the macro environment in 2018 has also experienced many challenges and uncertainties. So I want to review the road this industry has taken in the past ten years and look forward to the future development direction from 2008.
Circuit board

At that time, China was experiencing a financial crisis, and its GDP was 31 trillion. By last year, the GDP had exceeded 90 trillion US dollars. In 2008, we communicated with the outside world mainly through two channels. The telephone is through a functional mobile phone, and the Internet is through a personal computer. 2g network is the most used, and 3g network is the most talked about. In the past 18 years, mobile SMArt terminals have done everything. At present, 4g is the most used, and 5g is the largest hot spot. In the past ten years, the whole world has undergone tremendous changes.
Looking back, let's first look at the industry performance: the global output of printed circuit boards exceeded 40 billion dollars in 2008 and 60 billion dollars in 2018. The compound growth rate reached 2.6%, which is not a particularly high figure in terms of quantity But behind this, there are important adjustments From the perspective of trend, since 1988, the printed circuit board industry has maintained a growth trend The electronic information industry is commendable This process was not smooth, but showed the characteristics of large periodic growth and small periodic fluctuation The rising cycle is shortening from 10 years to 8 years, 6 years and 5 years, which means that our industry is maturing in the process of growth At the same time, it will be affected by external industries, and some changes will take place

It is the electronic information industry that has promoted the development of the PCB industry. 3C Company is still the main force in the MARKet, but great structural changes have taken place: personal computers have declined significantly, and the demand for PCBs represented by mobile phones has increased significantly. The ups and downs have also brought profound changes to the industry.
Industry concentration was further improved, with 33% of the world's top ten enterprises, 5.5 percentage points higher than that in 2008. It can be seen that in the process of industrial development, top enterprises have made the greatest contributions.
Analyzing the top ten companies in 2008 and 2018, we will find that great changes have taken place. Four companies have just entered the top ten in the world, especially Zhending, which is growing rapidly. In terms of scale, the threshold for the tenth place has increased by 200 million US in ten years, but the first place has increased by 1.9 billion US. The gap is widening. The gap between No. 1 and No. 10 has expanded from 2 tiMES to 4 times, which is a big change. There are 10 new companies entering the top 40 CAMp, of which 5 are Chinese funded companies.
Analyzing the top ten companies in 2008 and 2018, we will find that great changes have taken place.
There are two main reasons for these changes First, the outside world has grasped the pulse of industrial development; second, the internal industry has actively expanded its production capacity and rapidly improved its business and scientific and technological capabilities For example, Pengding focuses on the mobile phone market, becoming the world's largest PCB manufacturing company focusing on soft boards; Dongshan Precision repaired "soft and hard" through mergers and acquisitions; AT&S has its own characteristics in packaging substrate and HDI. Shennan has formed its own competitiveness in the field of communication and packaging substrate; Jingwang has formed the advantages of high efficiency and low cost In other words, rapid development requires industrial stimulation and seizing opportunities
